Hi Frnds,
i am writing at about 05:30 AM of 26th of jan'10, The 60th annual republic day of india, feeling embarrased and useless as now days the republic day and independence day is just a "dry day" which we keep in mind for, another day to sleep till late and another day to fly the kites.
having said that i would also like to tell that i am not amongst the people who think that india has not improved, India has, really has but the shortcoming is that it would have been far better if all of us would have made an honest effort
to make it a better place to live.
Everyday in the morning we can hear so many uncle JIs around us talking about the politics and "MAHNGAI" and finally ending up their chat with the famous quote "Is desh ka kuchh nahi ho sakta" and when quesitioned ,a very prompt and loud response comes "ye hamara nahi SARKAR ka kaam hai", now the question arrives "who the hell is this SARKAR?"Mr. PM, MRs. CM or Mrs. President or countless number of MPs and MLAs. Are all of them make a SARKAR? if yes, then who gives them the right to make us do what they want us to do. I guess we all know the answer,"WE" have given them the right to kick our a** whenever they want because in the last 63 yrs of freedom, inspite of numorous riots and bloodsheds we still believe that " "APNO" mein se hai isi ko jitao CHUNAAV". this f****ng APNO has made our life hell.
In a constituency there are 10 muslim candidates and only 1 hindu candidate, then it's quite certain that the "PANDIT ji" is going to with and vice-versa. because he is an APNA candidate and according to these undecucated einsteins, only hindu can understand what a hindu feels and only a muslim can understand what a muslim feels and when i say uneducated i am not talking about people who have not gone to school or college but i am talking about the people who have always been taught things but they never tried to learn something and unfortunetly it's the majority.
Everyday we talk about the social and political problem but we never try to be a part of the solution and never miss on giving an "EXPERT and NEUTRAL" comment about the issue. If traffic is the problemwhy don't we use the public transport, but we do'nt because we all have an AC BMW or SWIFT or 800 at our place and who wants the DHAKKA-MUKKI in a DTC bus. My frnds this DHAKKA-MUKKI is chaos in DTC bus but the same DHAKKA-MUKKI in a disc is the "cool ambience".
Few days back there was a hot news about how shahrukh khan had to face problem at the Newark airport, being a VIP it was matter of pride for us, however i know if we keep our egos aside, we would realize that that's the reason why U.S. has not faced any more 09/11 but we have gone through so many attacks as bad as 26/11.
It's time to talk and act, earlier we fought against British and now it's time to fight against an evil inside us. The Evil of ignorance, The Evil of religion,
The Evil of racism is going to burst out very soon and we would not be able to inherit the great pride and honour to our next generation the way our forfathers and inherited it in us.
To wrap this up, i would say that at the end of the day we have onle two option.
to be a part of the problem or to be a part of the solution and if we are standing with any other option or no option they we are neither a good citizen nor a good human being.
Jai Hind.
Happy Republic Day!!! I believe most of us would have been more happy if this was without the "RE" in the start or "LIC" in the end and I guess that is a shame.
